Welcome to HPS!

I am the current grade 4 teacher at Hughenden Public School. I began my teaching career here at HPS in August 2008. Throughout my career I have taught mainly grade 4, with a little grade 5/6 math. I enjoy having the youngest students in the school; working with new, excited students with a fresh new start is exhilarating. Helping the students transition from being the oldest students in Amisk, to being the youngest here is always rewarding. The daily conversations, the 'light bulb' moments, and the kind hearts of the students make my day. Ending the day with our ‘High Elbow’ always resets us for our next day!

Along with my husband and two daughters, I enjoy traveling, riding our horses, and spending time with our family and friends. I am thankful to be a part of this school and look forward to our 2021-2022 school year!
